Challenge
In a matter of hours, Huawei found itself engulfed in one of the worst crises in its history. In 2019, Donald Trump made negative comments about Huawei due to its origins, which spread worldwide.
Idea
At this moment, we had to make a decision: ignore the situation or use the chaos to our advantage, and of course, we chose the latter option. We turned off the logo of our flagship building for 24 hours, closed our stores nationwide, and thus began to change the conversation in our favor with a powerful message.
Result
We regained people's trust, and the opening of the first experiential store yielded astonishing results. Close to 1000 units were sold in one day, which meant over $800,000,000 in sales. Thus, by leveraging chaos to our advantage, we made over 20 million people say... "we believe in Huawei.
